Loma Linda University School of Dentistry is offering a preceptorship training in implant dentistry. This program offers to the applicant student an opportunity to experience advanced training based on observation only. A preceptorship student in implant dentistry is expected to obtain training in the following areas:
- Clinical assistance and observation in basic and advanced surgical procedures in implant dentistry.
- Clinical assistance and observation in advanced prosthodontic rehabilitation supported by dental implants.
- Attendance in didactic core courses common for all the graduate programs.
- Attendance in didactic courses exclusively related to advanced Prosthodontics and implant dentistry.
- Participation in clinical and/or laboratory research in implant dentistry.
- Participation in didactic undergraduate education in implant dentistry.
The required time in the preceptorship program is from three to twelve months.
