Journal Fall 2001 Alumni meet with Dr. Charles and Ruthy Goodacre Charles J. Goodacre, SD’71, MSD, dean, enjoyed meeting with alumni in Oregon, Washington, and Maine during the summer. The first meeting was held in Portland, Oregon, and was coordinated by William J. Pritchard, SD’74, MS’90. The largest group gathered in Seattle, Washington, with Dennis L. Meidinger, SD’70, arranging the dinner. In August, R. Wayne Clapp, SD’72, invited alumni from Portland, Maine, to join the Goodacres for dinner. Attendees enjoyed fellowship with alumni from their area, heard news from Loma Linda, and talked with the dean about School activities. Topics covered during the presentation included curriculum, research, strategic planning, and admission information. A large number of recent graduates attended the dinner hosted by Charles and Ruthy Goodacre in Seattle, Washington.
