Gifts to the School of Dentistry
The future of dental education at Loma Linda University continues
to be strengthened by the generosity of alumni, faculty, staff,
students, and friends who supported 79 different programs and
projects in the School of Dentistry. More than $1.33 million was
contributed during 20002001. In addition, a revocable trust
valued at $2.4 million was established which will benefit the
education of Seventh-day Adventist dentists serving in mission
clinics around the world.
The Building for the Future Campaign supporting the
new expansion to Prince Hall brought in more than $314,000. Renovation
of the amphitheaters was completed this year, with more than $130,000
generated through the sponsorship of individual seats. Additionally,
the dental class of 1971 raised over $34,200, bringing their total
to $100,330 for this project in celebration of their 30th anniversary
year.
The Alumni Association Annual Fund received $252,784 from phonathon
and direct mail efforts. Support for student scholarships brought
gifts to a number of funds, totaling over $153,000.
We take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the following
donors, who truly empower the future of dental education through
their commitment. (See separate report for Dental Hygiene gifts
