Donald Beglau, SD'62
Donald Beglau, SD'62, a longtime Yucaipa, California, dentist, has been appointed as an examiner with the California State Dental Board.
Dr. Beglau's first assignment begins in February at University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry.
His coverage area also includes Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and University of Southern California School of Dentistry.
Dr. Beglau is semi-retired, with a practice on Yucaipa Boulevard. Before his semi-retirement, Dr. Beglau spent 25 years teaching in the restorative dentistry department at the School of Dentistry.
After graduation from the School of Dentistry in 1962, Dr. Beglau was in private practice in Grass Valley, California, for nine years.
Dr. Beglau spent five years helping start a new school of dentistry in Augusta, Georgia, before moving back to California.

Chris Blount, SD'02
Chris Blount, SD'02, has begun a residency at Tripler Army Medical Center, the largest hospital in Hawaii. He and his wife, Nicolette, moved to Oahu in September where they will live while he completes the four-year specialty program in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Tripler is a Level I Trauma Center serving armed forces personnel from the Pacific Rim, including Guam, Japan, and Korea.
During his final year in the School of Dentistry, Dr. Blount served as Dental Student Association president. Nicolette is a teacher.
Lawrence B. Hundley Jr, MS'73
Dr. Lawrence B. Hundley Jr., MS'73, has been appointed to a four-year term on the California State Dental Board, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise newspaper (March 1, 2002). Dr. Hundley served as an assistant professor, oral and maxillofacial surgery department, and as director, dental division, Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Hundley practices in Corona and Riverside.
Jeremy H. Burden, SD'01
Jeremy Burden, SD'01, has joined his father, I. Benjamin Young, SD'57, in the family's longtime dental practice in Bath, Maine.
"I became interested in the practice of dentistry through my father," confides Dr. Burden. "It became a dream of mine to someday join him. That time has come, and I look forward to building a practice here in Bath with Dr. Young. I think we make a pretty good team."
Dr. Burden and his wife, Lidija, live in Bath.
He received an undergraduate degree in 1997 from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, and graduated in 1993 from Pine Tree Academy in Freeport, Maine. Dr. Burden grew up in Pownal, Maine.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Main Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
