To the editor:
The LLU DENTISTRY arrived today. Your editorial ("In pursuit of trivial trash") LLU DENTISTRY, Vol. 13, Spring, 2002, page 8, was a nice way of scolding those who pass around information they have not checked to be accurate and true. I think it was timely, and it gently reminded all of us who read it to check what we hear for accuracy. In addition, when we do hear a rumor, we should also ask ourselvesis this something that needs to be passed on?
Lee F. Crane, SD'62
Dear editor:
Thank you for the very interesting issue of LLU DENTISTRY (Vol. 13, Spring, 2002). I really enjoyed reading your editorial, "In pursuit of trivial trash" (page 8). I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to work with colleagues and students at Loma Linda several years ago. I have had numerous papers published based on ideas I worked on during my visiting scholar period at LLU, and I will always be appreciative of the help and support I received at your School.
These days I am recovering from serious illnesses and I am grateful to be alive; my faith in God has grown even stronger as a result.
Best wishes, Hélène Borrman, DDS
Gotenburg, Sweden
Note: Dr. Helene Borrman was a visiting scholar in the School of Dentistry, 1984-1986 and part of 1987. Her name then was Engstrom.
