Classrooms 1176 &1177 dedicated
in memory of Dr. Robert James

Kris Wilkins, chair, dental hygiene, and Jaime Lozada, director, graduate program in implant dentistry, stand in rooms 1176 and 1177 near the wall commemorating the classroom as the Robert A. James Seminar Room.

Classrooms 1176 and 1177 on the first floor of the School of Dentistry have been renovated and dedicated to the memory of Dr. Robert James, who served as the first director of the Loma Linda University Center for Implant Dentistry when it was established in 1993.

The remodeling was initiated by Implant Dentistry and the dental hygiene department, whose students use the facilities regularly. The project included new paint, seating, lighting, and audio-visual equipment. There is also access for computers.

Each seat in the room was sponsored by a donor, recognized with small plates in the desktops. Alumni of the two departments were joined by faculty, staff, and friends to provide the funding to complete this much-needed renovation.
