Dental hygiene alumna receives honor
Sharon Golightly, DH64, MSEd, EdD, has received the Martha Fales Award, the highest award given by the Washington State Dental Hygiene Association. The award honors an outstanding dental hygienist for his/her contributions in furthering dental hygiene. Dr. Golightly has been instructor and director of the Pierce
College dental hygiene program in Tacoma, Washington, for 25 years. She
has chaired the National Dental Hygiene Program Directors, served as a
western Regional Examining Board Faculty Representative, and led in the
ADHA and state dental hygiene associations.
