Investing in excellence
Barbara Bostwick, Director of Development
Gifts to the School of Dentistry
Alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the School of Dentistry joined
foundations and corporations during the 1999-2000 year to invest in the
students who have chosen dentistry and dental hygiene at Loma Linda University.
More than $1.78 million was given in support to over 80 different programs
and projects during the year.
The Building for the Future campaign brought in over $675,000,
in addition to internal transfers from Dental Anesthesiology faculty members.
Open house activities for the new addition to Prince Hall were held in
February, with a preview tour for the Hutto-Patterson Charitable Foundation
which had provided a $250,000 grant for the Pediatric Dental Clinic.
Other programs receiving major support last year were the amphitheater
renovation project, the Annual Fund campaign, the Klooster Scholarship
Endowment, the Orthodontic Department, and Implant Dentistry.
With this report we honor those who have contributed to excellence in
education in the School of Dentistry and thank them for their generous
support. (See separate report for Dental Hygiene gifts following this
section.)
