Faculty and staff attend 80th Annual ADEA Session

The School was well represented during the annual session of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) held in San Antonio, Texas, March 8 to 12.

Faculty presenting programs included: Drs. Joseph Caruso and Thomas Rogers, Dr. Robert Frazer of R.L. Frazer and Associates (he guided the School through its recent strategic planning process): "Creating a Future of Choice Through Applied Strategic Planning;" Dr. Charles Goodacre: "How to Develop an Interactive, Navigable CD-ROM Program;" Dr. William Hooker: "Update on Cultural Competency Initiative."

Others participated as members of various councils of the ADEA, the ADA, and attended sessions developed for a number of educational purposes: National Board test item construction, accreditation site visit training, and workshops of interest.

The ADEA Annual Session presents an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues from other schools and programs, and provides a wide array of informative sessions on how our colleagues handle educational challenges common to all.

The next ADEA annual session will be held in Seattle, Washington, March 6 to 10, 2004. The School administration supports faculty membership in ADEA by providing reimbursement of dues paid by full-time faculty.
