Gifts to the School of Dentistry
2002-2003
As the School of Dentistry celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2003, we also celebrate the commitment and generosity of alumni, faculty, staff and friends who are looking toward the next fifty years of dental education at Loma Linda University. This support is vital to building programs and facilities, providing financial resources for students, and developing exciting innovations in learning for future generations.
During 2002-2003, the School recorded its second highest year for philanthropic support, with $1.8 million given to 93 different projects and programs. This is an increase of 48% over the previous year.
The Annual Fund Gold Campaign brought in more than $315,000,with an additional $69,100 in challenge grant monies. Over $168,000 was given in honor of the School's 50th anniversary, supporting many activities and special projects, including a gala event attended by 900 guests. Three new scholarship endowments were established with gifts totaling over $190,000.
We thank and honor each of the following donors for their dedication and generosity. (See separate report for dental hygiene gifts following this section.)
