The Dean's Message
The Dean's Circle is a recognition organization honoring donors to the
School of Dentistry who give $1,500 or more during any fiscal year (July
1 to June 30). These donors are invited to become members in the year
following the fiscal year of their gift. Becoming a Dean's Circle member
is not automatic -- they are invited by the Dean into membership and must
accept the invitation. Based on gifts received in the 1997-98 year, there
are now 117 members in the Dean's Circle.
The first year for the Dean's Circle was 1989-90. Of the 45 who were members
that first year, 16 have been continuous members of the Dean's Circle
since that time. I celebrate the commitment and strong support of these
very special people, and will honor them at the 1999 Alumni-Student Convention
banquet on February 4.
The financial gifts made by Dean's Circle members fund many projects throughout
the School: the Clinic 120 campaign, the Annual Fund, Building for the
Future campaign, the dental hygiene program, and many others.
Following are the 16 individuals who are being recognized for their participation
as members of the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry Dean's Circle
since its inception: J. Milford Anholm, DDS, MS'62, Michael Boyko, SD'75A,
