Andersons

James C. Anderson, SD'81, age 46, of Ithaca, Michigan, passed away December 5, 2000 at Gratiot Community Hospital.

Dr. Anderson was born April 5, 1954, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, son of James and Patricia (Lafferty) Anderson. He spent most of his childhood in Cedar Lake, Michigan where he graduated from Cedar Lake Adventist Academy and met his future wife, Linda (Lohr) Anderson. After high school, he attended four years of college at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, graduating with a BS degree in biology. He married Linda, his high school sweetheart, on August 18, 1974. He attended Loma Linda University, earning his DDS degree in 1981. He practiced dentistry in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; Yaounde, Cameroon, Africa; ending with a successful practice in Ithaca, Michigan which served the local community for more than 12 years.


Dr. Anderson enjoyed 26 happy years of marriage, producing two daughters: Melanie and Julia Anderson. Outside of work, Dr. Anderson enjoyed several hobbies, including reading, collecting stamps and model trains, working in his yard, and watching sports—especially his daughter’s athletic events.


Dr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Linda; his two daughters, Melanie and Julie; his parents, Jim and Patricia; and his sister, Penny (Anderson) Smikle.
