Oral and maxillofacial surgery

Requirements for the externship are as follows:

  1. Completion of the junior year of dental school
  2. Class rank in the top 20 percent
  3. Completion of Part I of the National Board of Dental Examiners with composite scores greater than 90 percent
  4. Accumulative college grade point average of at least 3.0 out of 4.0
  5. CV
  6. Letter of intent (should include the dates you want to come out to Loma Linda)
  7. One letter of recommendation (preferably from the OMS chair or program director who knows of your interest in OMS)
  8. Letter stating your school will provide malpractice coverage
  9. Health clearance from your school (should include TB)
