Research Interests

Grapefruit juice drug interactions; herbal-drug interactions; pharmacogenetics and pharmacokinetics in Native American Indians, Hawaiians, and Mexicans; herbal supplements and anti-cancer activity; effects of tea, ginseng, and wine on P450 and Phase II enzymes in relation to cancer prevention; clinical pharmacokinetics and metabolism of antimalarial drugs; P450 and Phase II conjugation enzymes in Antarctic Penguin liver.
