Ignatius Yacoub, PhD

Welcome students and friends!

Ignatius Yacoub

My name is Dr. Ignatius Yacoub, and I am a professor of management at Loma Linda University located in Loma Linda, California. I was the founding dean of the School of Business and Management of La Sierra University in Riverside, California and have spent forty five years in teaching and administration. Prior to coming to the United States, at the beginning of my professional career, I spent 12 years at the Middle East College in Beirut Lebanon where I grew up. There I served as registrar, associate professor, head of the Business Department, chairman of the Division of Applied Arts and eventually dean of the college.

I received my PhD from Claremont Graduate University with a focus on higher education and manpower planning. I have had the privilege of conducting many seminars in the United States and abroad for university students and business professionals on topics ranging from time management to building employee trust. I have been involved in evaluating academic programs in the United States and abroad and have authored and co-authored many articles and professional meeting papers.

I also have taken the opportunity to be involved in my local community and have held membership in service clubs including the Lion and Rotary Clubs, and sat on the Board of Directors for various organizations including for both the La Sierra and the Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce.

In my spare time I currently enjoy playing golf and throughout my life have enjoyed cycling, nature walks, and world travel for both business and pleasure.
