Newspapers
An attempt is made to collect newspapers that will aid scholars doing research in denominational history. Currently the Heritage Room has a collection including the following newspapers:
Loma Linda Argus (1928-1973). Title varies. Although the holdings for this newspaper are incomplete, it is a rich source for research on university and community related subjects.
Battle Creek Journal (March 1852-December 1911). Title varies. This microfilm collection covers the period of time the Adventist work was centered in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Maine Wesleyan Journal (1833-1841). Some gaps exist. This microfilm gives the setting of Millerite activity in Maine along with an interesting look at such important locations as the Chestnut Street Methodist church in Portland where Ellen White and her family were members during the years covered in the collection.
