Other Research Aids

Computer Compact Disc. This addition to the Branch Office's research aids provides a complete text of all of Ellen White's published writings and various writings of Adventist pioneers. An additional database contains the King James version of the Bible. Searching may be done by a single word or a combination of words. The system will tell you how many references it can locate. If desired, the full paragraph(s) can be read and printed out.

E. G. White Biographical Index. With over 2,000 references to Ellen White's published and unpublished materials, this index helps to reconstruct, as far as possible, a chronological record of her travels and activities.

Periodical Article Index. Some 4,600 of Ellen White articles from the Review and Herald, Signs of the Times, Health Reformer, and other periodicals are indexed here.

Seventh-day Adventist Periodical Index. This index was first published in 1972. It provides easy access to materials in denominational periodicals.

Obituary Indexes. These resources include the names of some 5,000 outstanding workers in the Seventh-day Adventists cause before 1958 in book form. Microfiche Seventh-day Adventist obituary listings from 1850-1990 are also available. There is also a "Who Was Who" card file. References in these sources direct the researcher to the actual obituary.

Review and Herald Index. A complete index to the Review and Herald from its beginning in 1850 is available on microfiche. This includes both subject and author citations.
