University Libraries

Connect from off-campus.

Registered students, faculty, and employees can easily connect via the proxy server from off-campus to library resources, including most databases and electronic journals.

The proxy server uses three pieces of information to authenticate LLU's users:

  1. Your first and last name.
  2. Your library barcode (usually the very bottom number on your ID card OR your ID number)*
  3. A self-created pin number.

To create a pin number:

To edit or create a pin number, click on the "My Account" link on the library web site. Enter in your name, barcode, and choose a pin number 4-8 characters long. The system will prompt you to re-enter the pin number two more times.

Note for faculty:

Registered students are automatically updated in the library system through Banner, but at this time, faculty might need to either stop by the library with an ID card OR fill out the registration form (PDF) and fax it in.

Getting help!

If you have any trouble gaining access to library resources, please contact either the circulation desk at (909) 558-4550 or contact the liaison librarian for your program.

Listen to directions (mp3 audio file).

o you have the new ID badge yet? On Tuesday, July 17, the barcode on the old badges (LLU Logo located on the right of your photo and has no magnetic stripe on the back) will no longer work.  Students who do not have a new badge (LLU Logo on the left of your photo and has a magnetic stripe on the back) will need to go to Student Affairs to obtain a new badge.  Also on July 17, the barcode on the front of the badge will be used to access the library off-campus. [Student Affairs is located in the Student Services building next to the Post Office and can be contacted at studentaffairs@llu.edu and (909) 558-4510 (externally) or extension 44510 (internally)].
