Center for Health Disparities Research

Mission

We support the mission of Loma Linda University to “make man whole.”

Our goal is to eliminate health disparities. This will be achieved through a dynamic partnership between:

  1. Loma Linda University’s School of Medicine (LLUSM) and School of Public Health (LLUSPH);
  2. The high schools, colleges, and universities from which our research trainees are selected;
  3. Community organizations in the Inland Empire.

Our objectives are threefold:

  1. Strengthen our capacity to do health disparities translational biomedical and community-based participatory research;
  2. Consolidate community outreach and health education initiatives with organizations in this community;
  3. Develop new programs and enhance and expand existing programs to widen the pipeline for science education and health disparity research in the Inland Empire.
