Center for Molecular Biology and Gene Therapy
Medical scientist training program
Highly qualified individuals interested in obtaining both the MD and PhD degrees can complete the research component of their education in laboratories associated with the Center for Molecular Biology & Gene Therapy. Such students must be enrolled in the medical scientist training program with the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, and then following two years of didactic education, complete two years of research training for the PhD degree prior to the start of clinical training. Approximately five medical-scientist candidates are accepted each year and many of these have completed their dissertation work in the CMBGT. For more information regarding admission to the medical scientist training program at Loma Linda University, please see the University Catalog or contact Dr. Anthony Zuccarelli (azuccarelli@llu.edu).
