Ralph E. Cutler, MD (07.18.07) Dr. Cutler (BD 1928 / Died 7/5/2007) received his medical degree from UCLA in 1956, was appointed as Professor of Medicine and division head of Clinical Pharmacology on July 1, 1981. He was appointed Professor Emeritus July 2002. His son, Drew Cutler, is a pediatric nephrologist on our faculty.
William J. Wechter, PhD (07.18.07) Dr. William J. Wechter (BD 1932 / Died 7/8/2007) received his PhD from UCLA in 1957. He was appointed as Research Professor on May 1, 1988. He was awarded Professor Emeritus April 2002.
Dr. Robert Iacono (06.20.07)
The Albuquerque Tribune reported that Robert Iacono died in a small airplane accident in New Mexico on Saturday night the 17th of June. It was reported that he was flying alone and in route to Mississippi to visit family. Dr. Iacono was 54 years of age and was a former member of our Department of Neurosurgery. We are saddened by this news and give our deepest sympathy to his wife and children.
