$535 per unit for 2006-2007 year
Health insurance is provided at no additional cost for all full-time graduate students. Students on stipend must notify the department manager if they are registered for less than 8 units, and the department will buy insurance for the student.
Scholarships that pay tuition and provide a stipend ($20,000) are awarded on a competitive basis to full-time PhD students. Qualified minority PhD students can also be supported by scholarships through the LLU-NIH initiative for minority student development program (LLU-NIH IMSD program). Currently, most PhD students are supported by a scholarship. Because of the moderate cost of living in Loma Linda, it is possible for a stipend to cover living expenses. Students in the MD/PhD program may also be eligible for Medical Scientist Training Program scholarships.
Student loans are available to United States citizens and permanent residents in the MS program.
