Office of minority student development in the biomedical professions
The mission of the office of minority student development in the biomedical professions (OMSDBP) is to develop and coordinate new academic programs to reduce the documented disparity in the number of underrepresented minority students that graduate with doctoral degrees in the biomedical and clinical sciences in the USA. The overall goal is to increase diversity at Loma Linda University School of Medicine which would enable us to continue providing high-quality education to serve in an increasingly diverse local and global community. The specific objective of the office is to increase the number of underrepresented minority students graduating with doctoral degrees in our basic and medical science programs. The mission of the OMSDBP is in tune with LLU's mission to "promote an environment that reflects and builds respect for the diversity of humanity."
