Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG)

The LLU School of Medicine Emergency Medicine Interest Group exists to promote interest in the field of emergency medicine among medical students. Throughout the school year the EMIG schedules events relevant to medical students of all levels and in particular those interested in the field of emergency medicine. ED attending physicians, fellows, and residents act as guest lecturers in their area of expertise as well as assist with hands-on skills labs for procedures commonly performed in the emergency department. The EMIG is a great way to learn about one of the more exciting medical specialties, meet other students interested in emergency medicine, and get career advice and tips on preparing yourself for applying to emergency medicine residency programs.
