Student interest group profile

Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG)

We are here to provide talks, workshops, discuss residencies and ultimately fuel excitement and camaraderie towards the field of family medicine. Yah! Yearly activities include: Kick-off at Dr. Osborn’s home, Loma Linda Residency Fair, UCLA Residency Fair, involvement in National Primary Care week, various workshops & talks put on by residencies (rural medicine/joint injections), Faculty desserts, Match Meeting, How to write a personal statement. We’re also here to make available resources like the CAFP summer preceptorship for 1st years, CAFP externship program (research), scholarships to the Kansas City AAFP National Conference in July, bimonthly subscription to the American Family Physicians Journal (great articles for short presentations) and involvement in leadership at the state (CAFP) and national (AAFP) level.

Any questions… at all… about anything… contact us! We’d love to share the gospel of family medicine!
