Black Health Professional Student Association (BHPSA)

BHPSA of Loma Linda University operates through the Student Services and is an active organization moving in the direction of an overall nurturing of students who enter LLU.

Any registered student of LLU and selected (honorary) any non-student who believes in and support the ideas, aims, and purpose upon which BHPSA was founded is welcome to become a member. Honorary membership is granted to persons having made notable and outstanding contributions to enhance the purpose and objectives of BHPSA upon recommendation from the Executive Committee. Individuals interested in becoming a part of this vibrant club pay a yearly fee of $30.00. This fee covers most of the activities that BHPSA will sponsor.

BHPSA exists to:

Enhance the spiritual growth of the Black Students of LLU and assist in facilitating an atmosphere of professional excellence, social development and moral principles
Assist in increasing sensitivity on the LLU campus relative to issues surrounding diversity, equality and fairness
Sponsor programs for minority youth to encourage their entrance into the health professions
Help increase the level of Black students recruitment, admission and retention
Disseminate information relative to minority issues within the professional health care programs at LLU
