The Clarice Woodward Award for Excellence in Writing

The award was established in 1986 to honor Clarice Woodward, RN, MS, Professor and Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs, Loma Linda University School of Nursing, for her invaluable support to nursing authors.

The award is a certificate and a check for annual membership. Two awards may be given annually at the chapter induction ceremony to chapter members who have published or accepted for publication, an article of exceptional quality in a refereed professional journal within the past two years. Eligibility for the award:

    1. Be a active member of Gamma Alpha Chapter of STTI
    2. Have published or accepted for publication an article in a professional refereed journal within the past two years
  1. Application to include
    1. One (1) copy of the application form
    2. One (1) copy of the applicant's current resume or curriculum vitae (If more than one author, co-author must submit resume or curriculum vitae also.)
    3. Two (2) copies of the published article. If the article is still in press, submit a copy of the journal's acceptance letter as well as the copies of the article.
    4. Any comments about the article
