Coaching for Success - 6 CEU Hours

Monday, August 11, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Friday, August 15, 10 a.m.

Do you wish you could be more effective in your interpersonal conversations and relationships?

Do you wish you had the tools to coach an employee or family member to establish and take action toward achieving goals?

Have you ever wished you knew how to build rapport and interact with someone different than yourself?

Coaching is a deliberate process using focused conversations to create an environment for individual growth, purposeful action, and continued improvement.

Coaching for Success using Interact identifies four behavioral style preferences. While you are actually a blend of all four styles, a dominant style usually emerges. Each style offers a valuable set of resources, which enable you to be effective in a variety of circumstances. Through this process of leaning more about yourself and others, you have an opportunity to celebrate differences and provide support for each other’s individuality. As self-awareness increases, you can select from a broader range of more effective behavioral responses to enhance your interactions with others.

Behavioral versatility is an important key to effective conversations and relationships. “Know thyself,” according to the ancient wisdom of Socrates, has important applications - even today.

Learning Objectives

This workshop will help you:

  1. Identify strengths and behavioral patterns that contribute to your personal and interpersonal effectiveness
  2. Understand how your strengths can sometimes be counterproductive and inhibit your effectiveness
  3. Explore how you can more effectively communicate with and relate to having different style preferences
  4. Recognize that style differences are resources both on the job and in personal relationships
  5. Discover how you can use your talents to be of even greater service to you and others.
