Botswana enjoys a temperate climate. Botswana's summer season last from November through April. This is also the country's rainy season. The days are generally sunny and hot with possible afternoon thunderstorms. Consequently, the afternoons can be very humid. During the winter, May through October, the days are dry, sunny, and cool to warm, while evening temperatures drop sharply. Exceptionally cold spells can occur, so it is recommended to bring the appropriate clothing.
