
Mexico monthly missionIn the 1960s a small group of medical students and faculty began visiting and worshiping with members from a Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mexico on Sabbath to build relationships with them. In April 1991, the first primary care services were provided in the town's clinic. The mission has grown to include participants from all schools of the University and other universities. Your weekend activities begin with an orientation meeting.

Maneadero and Uruapan - approximately 10 miles south of Ensenada, Mexico.
Program description
Participants and recipients are provided with service opportunities for spiritual growth and cross-cultural interaction within a primary health-care setting. Health-care services include medical, dental, and public health education. Your weekend activities begin with an orientation meeting prior to the trip. The time you spend preparing and organizing will make the trip a success.
Program dates
The trip occurs on the weekend of the third Sunday every month. The SIMS group meets at the SIMS office on Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. and returns around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Program cost
$45.00 per LLU student, $80.00 per LLU student and spouse, or $55 for non-LLU students. This covers transportation, food, and lodging. This is nonrefundable and must be paid in full with CASH ONLY (no checks) by the Thursday evening of orientation; late payments are not acceptable.
