Continuing professional education @ LLU SPH

Mission statement

The mission of the School of Public Health continuing professional education program is to provide to our alumni, to public health practitioners, and to other health-care professionals a source of reliable, timely, and pertinent information to ensure they are aware and can implement the latest findings, hypotheses, and approaches to improving health and preventing disease.

Our programs target physicians, nurses, health educators, dietitians, epidemiologists, and others interested and involved in the education, counseling, or treatment of individuals or groups of people in various aspects of health.

We offer programs both locally and at distant sites and are developing web-based programs to accommodate the identified needs and specific requests from constituents.

We offer continuing education in various formats including multi-day conferences, one-day seminars, partial day lecture series, and hands-on skills development workshops. Varied modalities will be utilized in the delivery of information and the development of skills.
