Selected topics addressing issues, concepts, and recent developments in public health.
Learner objectives
By the end of the course the student should be able to:
- Understand the 10 essential Public Health Services.
- Describe Core PH functions and core competencies.
- Identify critical PH publications and policy documents.
- Provide an overview of the evolution of PH services delivery.
- Discuss the etiologies of health disparities and the role of advocacy.
- Consider the Christian Perspective on PH Delivery.

This one unit course is made up of pre-course assignments and a one day face-to-face teaching session conducted on August 17, 2007. On-campus session: check the schedule.
