Selected topics addressing issues, concepts, and recent developments in public health.

Learner objectives

By the end of the course the student should be able to:

  1. Understand the 10 essential Public Health Services.
  2. Describe Core PH functions and core competencies.
  3. Identify critical PH publications and policy documents.
  4. Provide an overview of the evolution of PH services delivery.
  5. Discuss the etiologies of health disparities and the role of advocacy.
  6. Consider the Christian Perspective on PH Delivery.

This one unit course is made up of pre-course assignments and a one day face-to-face teaching session conducted on August 17, 2007. On-campus session: check the schedule.

The course outline will be available six weeks before the condensed teaching session so you will have time to prepare.
