GIS in public health

Geoinformatics technologies offer means to manage and collate spatial information on natural resources, environment, and human habitat. It serves as a useful tool for national development planning, resource management, disaster management, and environmental monitoring.

GIS brings an innovative approach to public health to enhance the well-being of human populations by collecting, organizing, managing, analyzing, sharing, and presenting data about where we live, who we are, and how we live with the ultimate goal of providing optimal solutions to the public's health.
