  • Cardiovascular disease costs us an estimated $300 billion per year. Hypertension, obesity, and diet are some of the leading risk factors.
  • More than 500,000 Americans die of cancer each year. Cancer costs us an estimated $180.2 billion. Many types of cancer may not be inherited but may be linked to environmental factors including tobacco smoke, chemicals, dietary habits, and viral infections.
