Dyjack explained the hazards associated with these bugs, namely gastrointestinal problems, and identified practical prevention methods.
“Ultimately the major control measure is to get people to wash their hands after using the toilet and before handling or preparing foods,” Dyjack explained. This prevention method is beneficial because most of these cases are food-borne or water-borne.
