YOYO and Personal Preparedness The CPHP at LLU is dedicated to serving our community through the development and dissemination of educational materials as well as the delivery of disaster preparedness and response training.
Pandemic Influenza (PanFlu) is a very real threat. If and when PanFlu strikes, everyone across the nation will need to be knowledgeable and prepared if they are to minimize the impact of this potentially terrible disease. Here at LLU we are working to develop and deliver training materials while providing information to our community. We are specifically focusing on schools, faith-based organizations (FBO), community-based organizations (CBO), and vulnerable populations in partnership with state and local government organizations. Although these partnerships work to assist in preparing for a pandemic, the bottom line message that you're on your own (YOYO) to ensure personal preparedness of yourself and your family is very real.
The materials discussed on this page are designed for educational use within K-12 schools in order to make children and families aware of the possibility of a pandemic and to help prepare them with best practices for disease prevention and containment. If you are interested in these materials, please contact us.
