Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy is proud to announce the Fourth Annual Innovation in Pharmacy Awards. The Awards were developed to foster innovation among pharmacy students and to recognize approaches that enhance the practice of pharmacy. We are pleased to announce that four $500 recognition certificates and awards will be available. Financial support is provided through a grant from Pharmacy Healthcare Solutions / AmerisourceBergen Corporation.
The innovation may include a modification of technology currently used by another industry such as "use of infrared identification to prevent medical errors or to track patient compliance" or "use of wireless video technology in Tele-pharmacy." The innovation may also include a completely new approach.
Authorship of the application is limited to a single student enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program in the United States. Applicants must submit a proposal (10-page limit) that includes the following:
The deadline for receipt of proposals to the address shown below is April 30, 2007. All proposals will be reviewed by the Honors and Awards Committee at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. The winners will be announced in May 2007.
