Pharmacy Practice Residency Program Goals
The primary goal of the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy Residency Training Program is to develop well rounded pharmacy practitioners who have the skills and background necessary to serve in academic roles within the pharmacy profession.
Pharmacy Practice Residency Program Objectives
At the conclusion of the twelve (12) month training period, residents should be able to:

Provide appropriate pharmaceutical care for patients in both the inpatient and ambulatory environment. Pharmaceutical care is defined as ensuring the following:
- Appropriate drug selection
- Appropriate drug dosing
- Appropriate monitoring
- Appropriate patient education
- Appropriate documentation of care provided

Effectively communicate with other health-care providers.

Prepare and deliver a lecture.

Facilitate small group learning sessions.

Serve as an independent preceptor for students on a general medicine advanced practice experience rotation.

Effectively carry out a research project.
