About the School
In 2003, Loma Linda University added a new school, the School of Science and Technology (SST), bringing the total number of schools at LLU to eight. The Board of Trustees approved the plan to separate the Graduate School into a new school in February, 2003, and approved the name on December 11, 2003.
The School of Science and Technology houses the behavioral sciences (marital and family counseling, social work, and psychology) and natural sciences (biology and geology) programs. It will also develop new programs in the technological sciences that advance the mission of Loma Linda University.
