The Center for Spiritual Life and Wholeness recognizes the need to pursue greater depth in understanding the relationship between religion and health. On the 3rd of February 2000, a few of us got together to discuss possibilities. The meeting chaired by Dr. Wil Alexander include the following participants:

- Lee Berk, DrPH (Center for Neuroimmunology)
- Linda Ferry, MD, (Preventive Medicine)
- Curtis Fox, PhD (Marriage and Family Department)
- Ruth Weber, EdD, RN
- Siroj Sorajjakool, PhD (Faculty of Religion)
- Eric Ngo, MD (Preventive Medicine)
- James Greek, DMin (Chaplain Department)
Suggestions during this meeting include:
- Colloquium: presentation of research on religion and health at the "Center for Health Research"
- Floyd Peterson
- Collect articles and research done by LLU professors and make it available on the web site of the Center for Spiritual Life and Wholeness.
- Collect list of names of those who are interested.
- Work on research instruments (manual for research on religion and health)
- Request VP Research to be a part of this working group.
