HEAD INJURY PROGRAM
Welcome to the Head Injury Program at Loma Linda University Medical Center. The goal of the Head Injury Program is to assist the patient in achieving his/her potential for independence and to educate the family about the patient?s recovery process. Problems resulting from head injury may include:

- Muscle weakness or paralysis
- Visual perceptual problems
- Problems with speech or language
- Long- or short-term memory loss
- Problems with social judgment or behavior
- Loss of bowel and bladder function
- Difficulty swallowing
- Inability to perform activities of daily living
- Cognitive deficits
- Difficulty walking
- Lack of motivation
- Behavior problems
- Depression
- Verbal outbursts
