Division of anatomy

Student - Jeffrey L. Carter

J. CarterAfter receiving a bachelor's degree in chemistry from California State University, Bakersfield, I was accepted to the master's program in anatomy. I chose Loma Linda because it offers the unique combination of close faculty/student relationships in an environment that promotes a close relationship with God.

I have spent the past academic year completing my core course work and am now preparing for my thesis project.  Thus far, I have completed Gross Anatomy, Embryology, Neuroscience, Cell Tissue and Organ Biology, Advanced Head and Neck Anatomy, Care for the Dying and Bereaved, and am finishing up with Advanced Joint Dissection, Immunology, and Integrative Biology Seminar. This master's program has provided me with a wide-range of course topics that have allowed me to pursue my interests while being exposed to new concepts. Furthermore, I have been given the opportunity to assist in the education of other students in their anatomy course work

I look forward to a rewarding research experience next year and am striving toward a future career in Medicine. If you have any questions regarding my experiences as a student, please feel free to email me.
