Research interests

Dr. Dyjack is principal investigator on several federal and state grants with an overall focus on public health capacity building. In this context, Dr. Dyjack’s interdisciplinary team works in partnership with Native American Tribes, faith-based organizations, community-based organizations, and state and local health departments to protect and enhance the health of citizens throughout the western United States and Pacific Rim. Example projects include healthy homes initiatives, pandemic preparedness for vulnerable populations, environmental justice studies, environmental asthma trigger training programs, and workforce enumeration assessments.

Dr. Dyjack is recipient of the School of Public Health Award for Excellence in Research, the American Industrial Hygiene Association Technical Committee Leadership Award, the Charlie Liu Humanitarian Award, and the California Environmental Health Association Contributing Author Award.
