How long should my submission be?
Due to space constraints, we can only print stories that are 500-words or less. If your submission is longer than this, our editing team will carefully abridge your story to fit on the page.
Who can submit a story?
Anyone. Regardless of your relationship to the School of Medicine or Loma Linda University, we're interested in your story!
What should the stories be about?
Any experience that inspired you, taught you a life lesson, or changed your perspective. For more suggestions, click here to visit our Submission Guidelines page.

How do I reserve a date?
You may reserve a date when you submit your story either online or using the printed submission form.
If you are still putting the finishing touches on your story and aren't ready to submit yet, but would still like to reserve a date, please email evening-rounds@llu.edu and we will hold your date for you for two weeks. After two weeks, if you have not submitted your story, we will release your reservation.

What if I have a friend or know someone who would have a good story?
Please invite them to submit it! We're happy to have submissions from anyone. If you know of several people or a particular group you'd like to invite, please contact us at (909) 558-4481 or evening-rounds@llu.edu. We will provide you with a few author-recruiting resources (informational cards to pass out, PowerPoint slides, etc.).
Will I get to see my story before it gets published?
Yes, our editing team will send you a copy of your edited/proofread story before the book is published.
Can I submit more than one story?
You are welcome to submit more than one story. However, we can only print one story from each author. We will chose the story that best fits the needs of the book.
Can I specify the version of the Bible for the verse accompanying my story?
Yes, please write it in on your submission form, or enter it when prompted, if submitting online.
