Morning Rounds' Reader's Comments:

"Just a few lines to let you know how much we appreciate "Morning Rounds."  I have to confess that I was a bit skeptical about the concept even though I contributed to it.  However now that we have gotten it ("Morning Rounds") and read some of it we are excited about it.. . . .I could even use the word "thrilled."  Both of us, especially my wife, have "cheated" and read a number of entries before their dates.  I read one of the more compelling entries to my Sabbath School class last week.  Surely this book will be a very positive influence in many people's lives as they realize how God has worked."

Donald E. Casebolt, MD
Class of 1953-B

"Thank you for conceiving the idea (of “Morning Rounds”) and bringing it to fruition.  I’ve already read and highlighted several of the stories.  It will be a blessing to many!"

Shelley Zapara Fox CPA
Riverside, CA

"Thank you with all our hearts for the “Morning Rounds” daily devotional stories of students and alumni of our beloved school who taught us to reach out to others to know our Lord and Savior.  We are thrilled with this privilege!"

Lowell Sheline
Class of 1950
Sedona, Arizona

"I am daily blessed as I read my “Morning Rounds.”  Thank you.  I am proud of what God has accomplished with both faculty and graduates.."

Vernon Luthas
Class of 1953-B
Miamisburg, OH

"Thank you for the once-in-a-lifetime honor to be included in “Morning Rounds.”"

Anees Razzouk
Class of 1982
Professor and chair LLUSM department of cardiovascular and vascular surgery

"A while ago, I received a copy of the book and have had it on my desk in its plastic. I finally decided to open it and, quite frankly, this is a masterpiece. I have already read a great many of the pieces and have found them spiritually moving as well as a very personal insight into my teachers, classmates and friends. I quickly have come to the conclusion that this book was not for me to help others by my contribution but for this book to help me by theirs. Thank you for your vision as well as the other members of the committee. I am blessed to be a member of this institution."

Darryl Heustisn
Class of 1973-B

"I received your devotional book during the holidays and an unexpected surprise
is that it contains many folks that I know so it's refreshing old friendships. Thank you. "

Gary M Burlingame, Ph.D.
Brigham Young University
Provo, UT

"Morning Rounds" was such a good idea. . . .I will refer to this book for many years.

Hubert Watkins
Class of 1962

The beautiful thing about "Morning Rounds" is that it continues to put spirituality into the center of our thinking. I am sure that it will continue to have its impact throughout the year as it is read in many contexts - both public and private.

Stephen Nyirady
Associate Dean for Admissions LLUSM

We took a copy (of Morning Rounds) out to Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital in Afghanistan, where it is read and enjoyed each morning at 0745 when the LL team gets together for worship before work. It (Morning Rounds) is great!

Jan Zumwalt

Thank you for developing such a wonderful worship book for this year. It means a lot to have so many folk I know sharing their lives this way.

Marilyn Herrmann
Dean, LLU School of Nursing

I think the book is a fantastic reminder of who is in charge of our lives and the many wonderful stories it has are a testament to Him and to those who have chosen to stay close to Him despite their busy schedules.

James Gulley (Class of '95)
Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute
National Institutes of Health
Bethesda, MD

I found Morning Rounds to be such a blessing! Thank you for being the catalyst for documenting stories that show the tremendous work that God is doing through His servants, the LLU Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends. I have returned to my earlier tradition of reading a devotional each morning however, now, when I read, I am sitting in bed with a hot drink in my hand!! Thanks, from the bottom of my heart!

Linda Williams
Director of Student Affairs
LLU School of Pharmacy

We are thoroughly enjoying "Morning Rounds"----I am not sure how we ever managed without it!

Sharon Walls

The feedback regarding "Morning Rounds" has been extremely positive. When I first received a copy I knew it was a "homerun"----however, it has turned out to be a "grand slam"!!!

David Wren
Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs LLUSM
CEO for LLUHC

Please accept my deepest thanks for publishing, "Morning Rounds." When first I heard about the project I was only moderately enthusiastic, but having received a copy and read many of the stories, I must say that this is the best thing that could have ever happened for LLU and the School of Medicine. To see the faith of God's servants and the power of God expressed in so many different ways in so many different lives is refreshing and inspiring. Thanks to Roger and Donna Hadley and to all the rest of the team that have had a part in preparing this fantastic expression of Christian faith. It makes me prouder than ever to claim LLU as my alma mater.

Walter Thompson MD
class of '61

Frances Lau, M.D. Class of 1947

"This book demonstrates that it is absolutely true that the health ministry is the right arm of the Gospel."

Pardon Mwansa

"I could not overcome the impulse, so I peaked ahead to other pages which confirmed the fact that this is an outstanding substitute for all other daily devotionals."

Frank Damazo, M.D. Class of 1948

"To me it (Morning Rounds) shows that Loma Linda University is Christ centered in their mission as well as being on the cutting edge of medicine."

Roger Heinrich

"The creation of this devotional using School of Medicine alumni and friends was a brilliant idea to rehearse again the reason for Loma Linda University."
