Dr. Gurmander S. Kohli
Dr. Gurmander Singh Kohli is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also holds memberships in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons; the California Society of Plastic Surgeons; the Massachusetts Society of Plastic Surgery; the Lipoplasty Society of North America; the General Medical Council, U.K.; the Massachusetts Medical Society and the International Medical Foundation.
He received his MD degree from the University of Glasgow School of Medicine, Scotland and served his internship at Malden Hospital, Malden, Massachusetts. He completed his residencies in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Boston University Hospital Medical Center Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Kohli has been recognized as an expert in his field and his achievements have been noted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as a Member of the Maliniac Circle, by the American Cancer Society for his leadership and generosity, and by Sir Anthony Kirkhope, a Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom. He has been written about in the LA Times and recently he was the guest of Dr. Deepak Chopra on his wellness program on Sirius Radio. He has been featured on the Health Beat Program on Television Chanel 7 in the Boston area.
Dr. Kohli has 27 years of experience in the practice of Plastic Surgery. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University. Previously he has been the Chief of Plastic Surgery at three Boston area hospitals.
In 1982 Dr. Kohli founded the Center for Plastic Surgery and Personal Development, Stoneham, Massachusetts, an institution that under one roof provided multiple services such as plastic surgery, orthodontics and dental surgery, dermatology, endermologie, behavior modification and weight management. He lives in Irvine, California, with his wife and has five children.
