Dr. Andrea Ray is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Her practice focuses on Craniofacial Surgery and Pediatric Plastic Surgery, including children with cleft lip and palate, vascular malformations, hemangiomas, congenital nevi, craniofacial abnormalities, craniofacial reconstruction for craniosynostosis, craniofacial trauma, distraction osteogenesis of the mandible, midface, and skull, facial trauma, plagiocephaly, Treacher Collins Syndrome and Romberg's Syndrome.
She received her MD from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Following graduation she completed an internship and full training in general surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. She then completed a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia. Subsequently, she completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in craniofacial surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Ray is a member of the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association and serves as a member of the Ethics Committee. She is also an active member of the American Society of Craniofacial Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a candidate for membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Ray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University where she is a member of the Children's Hospital Craniofacial team. In March 2005, Loma Linda University Medical Center physicians performed a successful separation of Craniopagus twins in which Dr. Ray was the lead plastic surgeon on the team.
Since the time that Dr. Ray joined the faculty of Loma Linda University , she has traveled to India, Ethiopia, and the Dominican Republic on medical outreach trips to perform cleft lip and palate surgery and instruct the local surgeons in techniques of reconstructive surgery. She is married to Glenn Fearon who is an architect and they have a daughter.
