Heart to heart
When children are born, their parents are usually able to take them home
from the hospital. However, for Gael and his younger brother David this was
not the case.
Eight years ago, Gael was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Destined
to die, Gael's life was saved when he survived a heart transplant at four
months old.
Putting the past behind them, the Escarcegas became pregnant with their
third child. But this year, they were forced to relive a harrowing nightmare
that never should have happened twice.
