Growing up in a city known for it’s crime and gang activity didn’t get in
the way for Gabriel Linares. He knew he would either have a career in
politics or science, science won out.
He’s now finishing up his Ph.D. at Loma Linda University and has a job
awaiting him at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Currently he’s working on ways to combat osteoporosis, according to
the NIH one out of every two women and one out of every four
men will have an osteoporosis related fracture at some point during their life.
