Out of the Rubble - Trailer

NEW! Watch the entire documentary. Video

Two video production specialists from the office of university relations
spent two weeks in Haiti to chronicle the work being done by Loma Linda
University and Adventist Health International. Out of the Rubble, a
documentary film, follows the work being done at Hopital Adventiste d’Haiti
in the Carrefour area of Port-au-Prince. Even though the hospital is located
only 1800 meters from the epicenter of the devastating earthquake that hit
Haiti on the 12th of January the building was virtually untouched. However,
even after the US Army Corps of Engineers cleared the building going as far
as saying they would allow their mothers to sleep there, the patients were
leery. Most of the people being treated at the there live in tents on the
grounds surrounding the hospital.

Now living in a post-op tent in what used to be the parking lot of Hopital
Adventiste d’Haiti Sebastien Lamothe had been trapped under the rubble for three
days. At only 8 years old he has gone through more than most people will
experience in a lifetime. Out of the Rubble shows the reality of Haiti, the
amazing people, the talented volunteers, and the utter devastation.

The need continues. For more information on LLU’s work in Haiti visit
